With a background in anthropology and long-form journalism Scott's writing combines the fine grained analysis of academic scholarship with the broad reach of the mass media. He is a contributing editor at WIRED and also appears in Mother Jones and Fast Company as well as on NPR and National Geographic Television. He is currently writing a book for Harper Collins / William Morrow about the future of the human body.
